A staple vegetarian dish in every Indian household, our Dal Tadka is garlicky, smoky and unforgettable! This is a treasured staple food, originally from the Punjab province in India. This dish is a type of dal (lentil Curry) cooked with two lentils; Toor and Moong. Daal Tadka is one of Punjabi cuisine's most characteristic signature dishes, and is high in protein.
STOVE TOP
1. Pour 1 liter of water into a medium size saucepan and bring water to a boil.
2. Submerge 1 sealed bag into boiling water and boil uncovered 8–10 minutes.
3. Remove bag with tongs. Tear bag and empty the contents into a serving dish.
Enjoy with rice and/or naan bread.
